@ChatGPT announced that Chrome users are getting computer use. The first piece lets ChatGPT work with the tabs you have open in Chrome, and what it does depends on the mode: Chat reads through every open tab and pulls the information together, while Work takes control of the tabs to download files, fill in forms or send messages, and can also sort your tabs into groups.
Second, ChatGPT inside a tab has been rebuilt. You now get the complete ChatGPT in the browser, conversation history included; while you're on a website, Chat answers questions and Work handles tasks right beside the page (@ChatGPT). Among OpenAI's examples are weighing three sofas on return policy, delivery time, material and size, and having it stop just short of submitting a sign-up form it filled in from an event's details (@ChatGPT). You'll need to download the extension first.
