Black Forest Labs opens FLUX 3 Image Klein weights: 5.6B parameters, and an 8GB graphics card can run it

一句重點:Two versions arrive together, a base model you can fine-tune and a distilled one, and they work in the API, ComfyUI and Diffusers from day one (BFL blog).

@bfl_ai released FLUX 3 Image Klein; of the FLUX 3 models, it's the second whose weights are public. To combine things from several photos into one image, you can feed it as many as 10 reference images at once; to change just one part of a picture, draw a bounding box around that area and edit inside it (BFL blog).

A GeForce RTX card with 8GB of VRAM is enough for the INT8 build, which was made with NVIDIA's help. BFL's own internal tests put it at the top in all three categories: editing, multi-reference and text-to-image (BFL blog).

Correction (2026-10-22)

The original version named individuals, along with companies under $5 million in annual revenue, as the ones who could use it commercially at no charge. Under the license terms, the threshold depends only on annual revenue, with no distinction between individuals and companies, and only the generated images can be used commercially. The BFL blog's wording differs from the license, and this article follows the license.
