According to @OpenAI, the update centers on fresh voices, improved accents, and no longer repeating the same line while looking things up. Bubbie is the new English voice listed in the ChatGPT release notes, and Japanese, Korean, Hindi, French, German and Mexican Spanish each gain a new option too. You can pick one under Voice in Settings, though the lineup you see depends on region and account. To signal that it's in the middle of a search, the new version rotates through different short phrases.
Which model you get by default depends on your plan: other plans get the mini version, GPT-Live-1.1 Quip, while Plus and above, Codex and dots included, get GPT-Live-1.1. Each replaces an older model: GPT-Live-1 mini makes way for Quip, and GPT-Live-1 for GPT-Live-1.1; both can respond while still listening, which is what full-duplex means (deployment safety page).
