SAIR launches Open Math OS, an agent workspace built on open models for math research

一句重點:Access is by application: research teams that pass SAIR's review can use its cloud compute for free (@SAIRfoundation).

發生什麼事

According to SAIR, the platform comes a month after the Open Math Model initiative was announced, with EPFL, CSCS, Lean and Hugging Face on board as partners (@SAIRfoundation). The official site describes research that lives entirely in the cloud and keeps running while the user is offline, on an always-on machine assigned to each project, with more than 100 math and scientific computing tools, Lean, Mathlib and SageMath among them, already installed. The model can be switched among open options such as GLM 5.3, Kimi K3 and DeepSeek V4.1 Flash. In Ultramath mode, the researcher stays the judge of whether a result stands: several agents attack one problem from different angles at the same time, and their candidate answers are gathered back into the chat (Open Math OS site).
